Technicolour is closing!!!!!

Dear friends, customers and supporters of Technicolour!

After an absolutely brilliant few months, I am sad yet excited to say that Technicolour will be closing! We only planned to open up for Christmas, but the excitement and interest was so spectacular for us, that Technicolour went on and on! From being on the front cover of The List Magazine to meeting all our super customers......it's been really overwhelming and fantastic!

So our last day for the shop at 2 Bruntsfield Place will be Saturday the 25th of June, and we will be staying open Wed - Sat 11am-5.30pm, until then.

I am moving to Berlin to begin work on a new range of garments and jewellery. My work will continue to be available on my new website (please have a look): http://www.jennysweetnam.com/ There is an accompanying blog where i will be documenting all my new designing, drawing and making whilst away so stay tuned!

Technicolour was opened by myself and two dear friends Jo Richardson, and Magda Boreyza, who continue to also make amazing work, you can find some of Jo's jewellery at Totty Rocks on Victoria Street (and her online shop will be coming along soon!) and Magda's illustration can be viewed on her website http://www.magdaboreysza.com/ Please also look out for the work of Faith Limbrick, who has been responsible for all the recent wonderful installations in the shop. She'l be graduating from ECA next summer and she is brilliant!

keep an eye open for us as maybe just maybe Technicolour will be popping up again some time!!!!

love Jenny

Thankyou Carrie Maginn for dreaming up this super event, we so so need something like this in this city, a place where people can come together to create. fingers crossed for more events to come!

Exploading Car

A cartoon work by local artist Chris Palmer depicting a sentient vehicle struggling in our time with the confusion of his surroundings, and the obstacles he must overcome. Compassionate, and in a way all powerful, but massively limited by the knowledge that he will always explode. A new modern day folk hero, an urban Odysseus. T-shirt and graphic works available to buy in store now.
